This is the clementine I had for lunch today. I wish you could smell the spicy, citrusy aroma and taste how sweet it was but you'll just have to make due with this little picture. Orange is such a happy color, don't you think?

Went on a photo safari with Corri today. We went to Bishops Close, a place which never fails to make me feel peaceful. The idea was that we would take pictures now and then in February we would go back, when the crocuses and snowdrops are blooming. Much to our surprise Spring is already starting to take hold there! This is one of my fav shots of the day... to me it illustrates the word I have chosen for 2010. HOPE. 2009 was a deep and difficult winter for my little family and we are just now starting to see signs of a beautiful Spring.

Skye and I made a pound cake tonight. She is really getting good in the kitchen. I'd like to think it's my influence but the way she keeps quoting Alton Brown is making me wonder...

Sitting in traffic, in the rain this afternoon and dreaming of drier weather so the girls and I can get some more use from our Day Use pass before it runs out in June! We are definitely planning more Wednesday mornings at Champoeg and probably an early summer bike trip to the coast! Let us know if you want to join us!

Red sky in the morning...

Sailors take warning! A few seconds before I took this shot the sky was brilliantly pink but in the time it took me to get my camera and switch the lens it had faded to this orangey color. I still like it though!
