We went to Alan and Beverley's tonight to hang out for a couple hours. We had a good time just talking and laughing. I like this picture of Alan flipping Dana. When I look at it I can hear her little belly laugh!

Today I'll show you the desk calendar that I put up on the side of the refrigerator. It's a great way to keep all the girl's activities, phone numbers, etc. sorted! Plus, I think it looks pretty cool!

I know it's hard to see, but this is a snap of a huge Blue jay that's been hanging out in our yard lately. I couldn't get any closer without scaring him off so I did my best.

Sierra stayed home sick from school today...I think she just needed to catch up on sleep after her Jr. High retreat to Great Wolf Lodge. When you see her, ask how many times she went on the Howling Tornado!

Princess Skye having some soda. Uncle Alan and Aunt Bev and the cousins came over for lunch today and stayed to play while their house is being fixed.

The flower shop next door always makes sure we have a fresh arrangement. Today it was these frilly, yellow tulips. Although I took a bunch of macros (of course!) I'll share this non-macro shot with you today.

Alan brought the kids over this evening to play for a little while. We had just pulled some of our old toys out of the attic and we all had fun playing and reminiscing!

Ugh...not a good picture, but the only one I have for today. This is part of a sculpture created by a local firefighter. It's part of a water feature in front of City Hall that has been drained for the winter. I forgot to take a picture this morning so I snapped this quickly on my way to work.

Our new cat Abby. She was one of Grandma and Grandpa's cats. So far, she and Dash are not friends, but we live in hope!

OK...for those of you who haven't heard of Project 365, it's basically a pledge to yourself to take a picture of something in your surroundings every day for a full calendar year. Lots of people post their pics to a Flikr stream but I'm going to use this blog to document my 2009. I completely forgot to take a picture on Jan 1 so I'll post a pic I took on the 2nd instead!


I know this isn't a very good shot, I was just playing around on my way to work.
